Henna Body Art
Henna is a natural plant (Lawsonia
inermis) that grows in various climates of the Middle East and Asia.
It has small, four-petaled flowers ranging
from yellow to pink
and its leaves
produce a red dye. The leaves are harvested, dried, and ground into a fine
powder. This powder is then used to dye hair red and for the ancient
art of mehndi body painting.
The henna paste is handmade
fresh, using only the
finest
henna powder, lemon juice, sugar and organic essential oils. The
ingredients are all natural and safe for the skin. WE DO NOT USE
BLACK HENNA WHICH CAN BE HARMFUL WHEN APPLIED TO THE SKIN.
The henna design will be light orange at first, and then it will darken to a deep brown color within the first 48 hours. Keep in mind that henna on skin is heat activated. The longer you leave the paste on your skin, the darker and longer the henna tattoo will be. The end result of the henna tattoo varies upon the individual & where he/she has the design. Areas of the body close to palms, soles, wrists and ankles will stain darker than other parts of the body.
Henna is great for:
-Bat Mitzvahs
-Sweet 16 Birthdays
-Prom
parties
-Baby/Bridal Showers
-Corporate Parties and more.
A small
henna party can also be fun for a girls day outing with a few close friends.
